Huh, well would you look at that. In totally related news, I have quite the boner right now.

Z06 is the speculation. There hasn't been official word that there is going to be another ZR1 (which doesn't mean a high horse power super vette won't happen, it'll likely be a different name this time around)
I'm thinking 600hp 600lb-ft for the Z06. 700hp twin turbo ZR1 replacement.

Jalopnik should really write an article about that. ;)

600 hp is almost 100 over the old 7L. That jump's gonna be tough without unnatural aspiration.

going to be supercharged, which that engine is in the picture

I also want to note, this engine is rumoured for a ZL1 topping Camaro for the 6th generation.

Ahhh. Missing the pump. That explains the brick intercooler. That's more than just a pretty face.

Kinda sucks a little that they aren't going with another big displacement N/A engine for the Z06, but such are the times.

I like a good n/a motor. The 7L is a frickin' gem. They tend to be a little more predictable, have a smoother power delivery. The Viper motor , however poor sounding, pulls like a 'truck' and is completely predictable. And they aren't as handicapped when you run into shit fuel or really hot weather like a blower motor can be.
Just don't say that around a Mustang thread or you'll get murdered.

You can't say anything around Mustang owners other than positive things. You can just make shit up, but as long as it sounds positive about the Stang then you're all good.

I'd make that fit in my Impreza.

Me boosta? no estoy seguro
Seriously though, nothing against the amazing power of the supercharged units, the 427 LS7 was pure freaking gold. No more power is needed, just more chassis.
